Have you ever thought what will happen if you lost your beloved Mac? Wondering if-only there is a way to track it?
It is now possible with Verey I, a simple and ingenious software that helps keep track of your precious machine, globally.
When stolen, Verey I will start recording via a connected video capture device (e.g. iSight) and send emails to the owner's email addresses. The email will contain the necessary network information: IP address, machine serial number, MAC Hardware Address and nearby wireless network.
On top of the email sent, Verey I will also limit the usage of the machine by locking up the machine after a certain amount of time. During lock up, the machine screen will shows details how to contact the owner and other information set by the owner.
No subscriptions or annual fees.

How it works?
Upon connecting to a wireless or wired network and access to the Internet, an authentication dialog will pop up requesting the user to enter a password.
If the user fails to enter the correct password within a pre-defined timing, hidden emails will be sent out immediately to the pre-defined email addresses. Email sent out will include:
- IP addresses (includes nearby wireless network if available)
- Machine Serial Number
- Videos capture of the perpetrator (with audio)

i. How do I know if Verey I anti-theft software works?
When the device is connected to the internet, the program will automatically pick out the necessary information, photo/video, IP address and email them out to the pre-defined email address.
ii. How do I install the software?
There will be a step-by-step installation guide included.
iii. Are there any technical or local support?
BAK2u has presence in Singapore and various countries through our partners to provide the necessary supports, including documents for owners to report to police for non-recoverable cases too.

iv. Can I use the same program for any other laptops or computers?
Each copy of the program is licensed to only 01 registered device. It is therefore non-transferable.
v. Who will recover the lost device?
As the device has been pre-defined with a email address, the receiver of the alert can contact the authorities (police, service provider) directly.
vi. Does your application patch the kernel or something to that effect?
No, the application does not make any changes to Mac OS X system or kernel.
The application is running on top of Mac OS X, just like any other normal Mac OS X applications.
The thing that make this application special is that it utilises Mac OS X security framework instead of making changes to Mac OS X.
